Abstract

Fungal infections are common dermatological and systemic conditions caused by pathogenic fungi affecting the skin, nails, scalp, and mucous membranes. These infections are frequently associated with factors such as humid climate, poor hygiene, diabetes, and reduced immunity, often leading to recurrent episodes. Although conventional antifungal therapies are available, increasing interest has been observed in homoeopathic management due to its holistic and individualized approach. Homoeopathy aims to stimulate the body’s vital force, enhance immune response, and address the underlying susceptibility to infection. Remedies are selected based on the totality of symptoms and the patient’s constitutional characteristics. This review article discusses the etiology, types, and clinical manifestations of fungal infections and highlights the principles of homoeopathic treatment and commonly used remedies in their management. The review also emphasizes preventive measures and the role of lifestyle modification in reducing recurrence and improving overall health.
