Study of Clinico-Pathology of Warts with Homoeopathic Medicines
Abstract
Warts are small, benign growths caused by a viral infection of the skin or mucous membrane. The virus infects the surface layer. In children, viral warts were most commonly seen in the age group of 10 to 14 years (41.9%), whereas in adults, the most common age group was 14 to 20 years (46.03%). The incidence peaked before 24 years of age in female and between 25 to 27 years of age among males. Family history of warts was observed in 27.7% of the cases. This probably infects the skin via areas of minimal trauma. Risk factor includes use of communal showers occupational handling of meat and immunosuppressions.
